A genuine, original and rare SAP Railways Police (Spoorwegpolisie) Saldanha Bay Regional Task Force / Streektaakmag unit patch from the South African Police era. Printed on dark olive/black fabric in subdued olive-green ink with raw, unfinished edges — a fully subdued field variant. Features an Uzi submachine gun in a circular wreath at centre, with text "STREEKTAAKMAG / REGIONAL TASK FORCE" at top and "SALDANHABAAI" (Saldanha Bay) curved at bottom. Not a reproduction.

The SAP Railways Police (Spoorwegpolisie) was a specialist division of the South African Police responsible for policing the rail network and key infrastructure. The Saldanha Bay Regional Task Force was their tactical unit in the Western Cape region. The Uzi submachine gun was the signature weapon of SAP Railways Police tactical units. This fully subdued variant was worn operationally — the dark, low-visibility design distinguishing it from brighter dress versions. Subdued field patches are considerably harder to find than their coloured counterparts.

Following South Africa's political transformation, the Railways Police was dissolved and absorbed into the SAPS, with most original insignia lost or destroyed. This is an original piece, not a replica.
